
Neoclassical ballet is a ballet style which uses traditional ballet vocabulary, but is generally more expansive than the classical structure allowed. Spacing in neoclassical ballet is usually more modern or complex than in classical ballet. Although organization in neoclassical ballet is more varied, the focus on structure is a defining characteristic of neoclassical ballet, less rigid than classical ballet.Contemporary

Contemporary is a freeform of dance based partly on classical technique and partly on jazz technique. It involves flexibility and strength and is very expressive using feeling and imagination. It uses many different styles of music and movement at times very graceful and beautiful movements and at times sharp and harsh. Contemporary dance is characterised by its versatility: contemporary can be danced to almost any style of music, or united with other dance forms to create new styles of movement.

- Hip Hop is a modern urban dance style originating on the streets in America . This style is similar to the style dances in rap and Hip Hop film clips. Hip Hop has an emphasis on rhythm and strength. Hip Hop is one of the most popular style of dance today. In class students wear totally comfortable and casual clothing – there is no uniform. We have Junior, Inter & Senior hip hop classes.

Jazz dancing has its own technique requiring the student to learn isolations, coordination, strength, flexibility and many different rhythms and styles. Jazz dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.

Acrobatics is the specialized art of jumping, tumbling, and balancing, requiring strength, agility and skilful control of the body. You will learn to do handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, forward and backward rolls and much more all in a safe environment, whilst the whole class is structured to your child's skill level. Acrobatics are being used more & more frequently in dancing.

Tap Dance is a step dance tapped out audibly by means of shoes with hard soles or soles and heels to which taps have been added. Tap dance has evolved from many individuals who had loved making rhythmical sounds with their feet. People like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Eleanor Powell and more recently Gregory Hines , and our own David Atkins and the Tap Dogs . Tap dancing has many styles and interpretations of its own and can be very much enjoyed by students of all ages from young children to adults.
